Winter Morning Walk In Snowy Japan | Otaru Hokkaido

On this freezing winter morning in Japan we’re taking a relaxing walk around Otaru 小樽 a lovely small city in Hokkaido 北海道 near Sapporo 札幌. We start our cold winter morning walk today on the bridge over the Otaru Canal 小樽運河 one of the main tourist attractions for Japanese and foreign visitors who flock to the canal year round to enjoy its nostalgic atmosphere. We then move on down towards Sakaimachi Street 境町通り – the beautiful preserved merchant street a 10-minute walk from Otaru Station. This street has a lot of old Western style buildings that are used now for shops and restaurants. This morning it is quite quiet before the tourists arrive, and local people are setting up their shops and going about their business. This beautiful city in Hokkaido is an interesting place for a morning walk, especially on a lovely winter’s day! Hope you enjoyed this freezing winter morning walk in Japan!

この凍えるような日本の冬の朝は、札幌に近い北海道の小さな都市、小樽をのんびりと散歩しています。今日の寒い朝の散歩は、小樽運河にかかる橋からスタートします。小樽運河は、ノスタルジックな雰囲気を楽しむために、年間を通して日本人や外国人観光客が訪れる主要な観光スポットの一つです。その後、小樽駅から徒歩10分ほどの場所にある、美しい商人の町並みが残る「境町通り」へ。この通りには、古い洋館がたくさんあり、現在はショップやレストランとして使われています。今朝は観光客が来る前の静かな時間帯で、地元の人たちがお店を構えて商売をしている。北海道のこの美しい街は、特に素敵な冬の日には、朝の散歩に面白い場所です! この凍えるような日本の冬の朝の散歩を楽しんでいただけたら幸いです.
