What happens to my family if only I test positive or just my kid tests positive….how do we quarantine?

I'm ready to cruise, but all this do's and don'ts is really freaking me out….. How can you enjoy a relaxing cruise at this point?
So booked a spacious room with a balcony will I be refunded the difference in price between the crap deck 2 prison cell and balcony room? This would be a reason for me to cancel my cruise. I would never pay to stay in a room without a balcony especially if I was locked up in it 24/7.

I was like crap — until I heard about the refund policy. While I still won't be hugging people or being too close, I'd be happy for cruise credit/ a refund to retry the cruise later on.

Viajé con mi familia en el Oasis of the Seas del 19 al 26 de diciembre recién pasado y por NEGLIGENCIA a bordo, contrajimos una bacteria con mi hija por MALA MANIPULACION DE ALIMENTOS, lo que me dejó a mí los 4 últimos días con vómitos y diarrea en el camarote y a mi hija los últimos dos días. Ambas nos enfermamos en distintos restaurantes del barco. No pude bajar a puerto y tampoco disfrutar de los días pagados. Lo que ofrecen de compensación es solo un voucher por 1 día gratis para mi próximo viaje… el cual obviamente no realizaré. UNA ESTAFA Royal Caribbean International
I tested negative a day before back to back, then positive the first day of my next cruise. Quarantined now, do they give me a future cruise credit?

Sooo, I just got off a ship and my husband tested post for Covid..He was quarantined..I was told to.stay.in.my cabin but they refused to test me. I had Covid a few weeks ago and I had a doctor's note and a negative antigen test..No one tested me at all and it was quite frustrating..Other people who were exposed nto my husband were not tested and did not have to stay in their cabin. The bias was that I have not had a booster, which was not a requirement to board..I have been trying to.reach officiala but only get repetitive answers about the CDC..They also demanded that we stay a hotel after the cruise but refuses to book it or pay for it upfront. We out our about 2000 to get home and I am.praying that they will I.e.through with the money..I was well treated with access to high end room service and movies..But communication, transparency and lack of support were very disappointing.
Speaking as someone who is currently quarantined on the Allure of the Seas: it’s a joke. They don’t test unless you request it. I am was moved to the Covid bay, fortunately with an ocean view, even though I would’ve loved to keep my balcony room, so at least i have the option to go outside and breathe some real air. But the argument is that you are supposed to stay close to the medical staff and guest services, so they can check in on you regularly… Which thus far nobody has done. In fact, it feels like you are a complete after thought. Free room service is a joke, considering you’re on hold with room service for 15 to 20 minutes at least, and then it takes another hour or two before your order actually arrives… Never had to wait for coffee for three hours, so that was a first. I am quarantining with a 15 month old baby and let me tell you I am ready to go insane.
Great video! I feel much better! Minus the whole software watching to see if I was a close contact to someone. Sucks you have to feel worried that you chatted with someone for a bit and they are positive and that makes me quarantine. Or if my kids play with another kid who tests positive. Guess 24 bad isn’t that bad considering it would be longer if it was at other places.
I personally know of someone who contracted COVID on a Royal Carribean Cruise. There was no close contact trace done on people he came in contact with. Communication from crew was very poor. A doctor did not go to his room. (only a nurse came to give him a swab test). He was not moved to a separate isolation room, he was not given clear explicit instructions and was not told how to deboard. He had to find crew to ask when he could leave. Clearly this is a difficult situation but if you think Royal Carribean will provide assistance, guidance or compassion you are very mistaken.

You’re not just looking at the glass half full, you’re clearly just parroting what they’ve told you. I can tell you firsthand that you are not medically monitored, that you’re not well taken care of, and that the floor they send you to is a downgrade by every definition. It feels punitive for self reporting symptoms and as a result a large percentage of travellers do not report symptoms. So your 1% of the population stat is misleading and you’re glass half full i attitude is ridiculous.

The policy is a joke! My wife and my sister in law tested positive on Day 2 after my sister in law started getting flu-like symptoms. They were promptly isolated and we've been told no prorated refund for it! They didn't even make it to the first port so it was an absolutely miserable cruise. If you test positive ON THE BOAT, during the cruise, you get 0% refund.
This definitely was NOT the policy on the Quantum in July. I was moved from a Studio Balcony on deck 7 to an oceanview on deck 3 with no carpet, minimal bedding, a thick vinyl cover on the couch, no fresh air and to top it off the cabin looked as if someone had just moved out, as it was FILTHY. I was cleaning the bathroom with the LYSOL Wipes I brought onboard. No one ever came to the cabin to check on me, take vitals, temperature or even to see if I was still alive. The Medical team REFUSED to show me the positive test and also refused to re-test me. It makes me think they get an extra amount of $$ for every positive guest. YOU ARE TREATED ABSOLUTLEY TERRIBLE- like a CONVICT kept in a DUNGEON, absolutely forgotten about. Room Service was a joke- 1) make sure to order 2 hours before you'll be hungry, 2) ALL food cold, 3) The Room Service menu is awful, no one told me I could order from the MDR til day 5, 4) e-mailing ROYAL'S EXECUTIVE TEAM will get you Nowhere, as they DON'T care. The entire experience was a NIGHTMARE! Lessons learned- if you have MOTION SICKNESS do NOT go to Medical asking for something as they will put a perfectly healthy guest in the Covid ward which is a VERY UNHEALTHY ENVIRONMENT. I DID NOT ASK TO BE TESTED
Do you ever read a newspaper? Days in a confined ares with strangers?? The only thing worse would be to sit in a church without a mask on Sunday! Please use common sense!!!
I caught covid half way through our cruise ( 22nd 2022 14 days August 2022) I was isolated and put in a cabin alone for 7 days. So far, RC have not fulfilled their promise to refund prorata for me and my entire party. They have avoided answering emails, and after much frustrating effort on our part they have paid 1/6 of a small part of my fare only. A tiny proportion of what was promised Beware of The many reassurances of RC post covid. Our experience is that they can’t be trusted. We are continuing to fight….
