These days just getting the permit to hike Half Dome in Yosemite might feel like the hardest part, but it is one of the toughest hikes we’ve ever taken while RVing in a national park. It’s totally worth it.

  1. Found y'all on my suggested feed today and I'm so glad I did! This video has inspired me to try to win the lottery too.

  2. So glad you won the lottery! Half Dome is just so iconic! This is a great accounting of the hardest hike I've ever done too. It was wonderful seeing it through other people's eyes and lenses. Congrats on your 10 year anniversary!

  3. Woo Hoo, amazing hike! Kudos to you! We have been camping to Yosemite several times but never made it to the top, we hiked partially with our kids! Thanks for sharing your epic anniversary with us! 😍

  4. Just watched this again so uplifting ❀️ hey at least you can where your πŸ‘• T-Shirt without any modifications! Know your Dad πŸ‘¨ was loving that πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈ πŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈ hike πŸ₯°

  5. Aww I love that you travel β€œwith your dad”. I lost my mom from cancer when she was 50 and I have been traveling with her ever since for your same reasons.
In my family we β€œSee it once for ourselves, blink, and see it the second time for our parents.”
Thank you for sharing this touching moment with us. πŸ’—

  6. Oh my goodness! I would’ve watch your kids!! I live in Sonora and would have loved to come up to Yosemite!! I’m a retired RN/Paramedic.. but so glad you found someone to watch them!! I did the hike in the eighties.. plan was to backpack to the top, (you could than) maded it to the bottom of the cables, we camped where you ended the video, than went to the top the next morning πŸ˜ƒ thank you for taking us along! Brought back memories πŸ’• Love, love your videos!!

  7. The steps on the trail out of the valley destroyed my damaged knee on the way down. My advice is walk the road down to the valley floor. I only got to the first cables and we knew we started too late. I was a there a long time ago (20-25 years) when access was open but it was pretty crowded.

  8. Really enjoyed your video. We are going in two weeks and will apply for the daily lottery. I hope I can make it. Did you eat all of your sandwiches on this hike?

  9. That was nothing short of amazing. Great work you two!!!!! I loved it. thanks for sharing. I loved the photo "photo bomber"!!!!!

  10. This brought me to tears. what a beautiful love story, sweet memorial to your father, and a amazing experience! I too have lost my Dad. I take him with my in all our RV travels as well.

  11. Thank you for taking me on your hike up half dome.As a child my dad was a forest ranger and I always thought it would be neat but was too young to make that hike. Then I snapped my fingers twice and life happened. Now I am a 57-year-old grandfather unable to physically make that hike so thank you very much.

  12. Great video. Great excursion!! Sorry if already asked and answered but what was it like walking down the cables. That seems like it would be scary with sandy granite afoot and shear cliffs an arms length away?

    PS. I’m binge watching πŸ™‚

  13. Every video I’m like that’s the best one yet!!! But man, you guys knocked it out of the park with this one! Love, humor, compassion, support, vulnerability, strength, and grace. Wow! Well done!!! Congratulations on 10 years of marriage ❀️

  14. this is One of the most beautiful places I've ever ever seen. I don't know if I could have climb to the top of that or not I'm pretty old so I probably couldn't but you all said it was a bonding experience I hear you're breathing it's quite hard so it must have been really hard going up that side of the mountain but bonding death bonding maybe together it just about killed you all it looks like

  15. Did you know that this national Park has the most disappearance of people in the whole country of more people . that have disappeared anywhere in the United States .That have never been found. Watch 411 and you'll know what I'm talking about it has the most people that have vanished and never been found in the United States. Look for the signs of being watched if you feel like someone's watching you you probably are being watched in these national parks you just got to know what to look for do you know what I'm talking about

  16. What a difference from 1958. I was 7 and my brother was 8 when we climbed Half Dome with my Aunt and Uncle.

  17. OK, new comment: YOU GUYS! I just got back from Yosemite a few hours ago – and yesterday I hiked the Mist Trail. Only to the bridge – and I swear I almost died! After the first mile! I had to stop every few feet to catch my breath. People were passing me left and right. I have so much respect for your ability to have done this!
