Today I’m taking a snowy walk in a Japanese shrine. My winter morning walk in Japan today is to the Shinto shrine in Higashikawa, 東川町, near Asahikawa, the most northerly city in Japan. Higashikawa Shrine is right in the center of town and is surrounded by trees – it’s absolutely gorgeous on a crisp winter morning. The deep snow and clear blue sky today make it an unforgettable place for a short visit in this lovely little town in Hokkaido! Don’t miss this amazing place if you are visiting Hokkaido!
