My mother was from the Iron Range, my father from Duluth (London Street!). Many summers out in Hibbing and Cuz’s farm near Eveleth n Virginia. My grandfather filmed these ship along the canal. 1951. https://youtu.be/-Sxv8YFyMjg
Is the radio traffic from the very begining of the video from when the ship is further out? It would seem that the bridge should be completely raised before the ship is starting down the canal.
When I'm in Duluth I always want to see the ship's. Being in Duluth for winter, please make sure you dress really warm. Standing at Lake Superior will get chilly. The ship's come in slowly to the docking area. I love watching the ship's come in!

I never get tired of watching this. Another safe journey. 😊
I see freighter's going up and down the Detroit River. But to see them this close that's at another level
The boats are almost getting ready for the winter lay up for 2023
So cool to see the Tugboat circle the ship to clear the ice around it an to make it easier to come into port as well…
The lady sounds really cute 😊 I love her

Liked the shot of the back in docking. Also, those dedicated ship watchers. Twenty degrees and still quite a few show up.
I love that they give you the facts about the ships as they come and go
