Adventures at Enoshima Beach (a Japanese beach near Tokyo)



This was just a quick little video I threw together – Ryosuke and I made a short pit-stop at Enoshima beach before meeting up with some friends for lunch~
江の島ビーチに行ってきたよ～！もっと海で遊びたかったけど、予定があったからしょうがない・・・
次はみんなでバーベキューしたいなぁ～
In general, Japanese beaches don’t have too many people swimming in them (or tanning, for that matter). But there were tons of groups of young adults hanging out, doing BBQs, and enjoying each other’s company.

Btdubs, I’ve been really sick (bedridden and bouncing between doctors/hospitals) for the last 8 days – basically since Ryosuke’s tofu video. My wonderful husband has taken over the video editing for now (and I think hes doing an excellent job for a newbie).
Once I’m no longer, like, dying – I will go back to “regular videos,” but for now…

    Despite growing up 10min from the shore in CA, my husband and I have never been very fond of the beach. You're kind of making me tempted though…

    How's the weather right now?  I missed the opportunity to go to Japan in the spring, but could have gone in June.  I passed it up because it is my understanding that Japan is hot heck in summer.  (and this is coming from a California girl).

    Hello I love your videos and if you still wanted video ideas I may have a couple? I'm not sure you will see this but I think a video on etiquette could be cool, and a video on hand gestures that are ok here but not there or something like that.>< I also think you would like a bunny cafe since you want to go to bunny island but you don't have to make a video of it I just thought you would like it^^ thanks for doing what you do!

    I love paddle boarding! I have been searching but I can find it in my area. 
    Also, looking forward to going to beach in the next couple weeks once it stops raining so much.

    Since you did a "cost of living in Tokyo" video before… would you do a "cost of living in the countryside of Japan" video?? This way people can see how radically different living  expenses are here! (^_-)

    Do they have surfing lessons there or do you have to find someone to teach you? I would love to learn how to surf. We are thinking of buying a paddle board. Those things are huge! They are as big as a kayak. I didn't realize how big they were till we went and looked at them.

    I love Enoshima beach, as well as the island! I live pretty close to there, and every time I go, I always buy my favorite package of mochi. Yummm!!!

    Is one day sufficient enough to explore most of Enoshima? I've booked a day stay at a ryokan in Eno and i'm planning to buy the Enopass for the full day exploration. Thanks in advance!

    I'm just curious, but is the water at the beaches in Japan polluted badly or not too much?
