Welcome to part 2 of my solo travel vlog for the Aichi Triennale, I spent 2 days Aichi checking out art exhibitions. Today we are going to Tokoname a town near Nagoya well-known for ceramics. I discovered amazing installations during this trip and I can’t wait to organize my next solo adventure in Japan 🙂 English & French subtitles available.

I don't think I had been to the ceramic art exhibition in Nagoya in the past, but this is fantastic.
Happy New Year, Miss Agatha. 🎍
J'ai adoré les photos du Japon, merci pour la vidéo ❤
Things I forgot to mention in the video, in case you did not already know:
– a “machiya” is a traditional Japanese house made of wood you can see them in a lot of cities, especially Kyoto.
– a “manekineko” is a traditionalJapanese ceramic statue, a cat raising his paw, it is to bring good fortune.
Hope that helps 🙂
So which installation did you like? which inspired you? I wish I had more time to spend in Theaster Gates installation to learn about all of the artworks and objects presented in the house!
