For as incredible and diverse as food is in #Japan, there is not much of a #streetfood culture here. Or is there? #Fukuoka is home to the #yatai, mobile street food carts that set up each night along streets and canals, serving up some seriously good food. ๐ฒ They exist primarily in #Fukuoka, and I traveled here to try them. Let’s check it out.

*Fukuoka
Yatai in Japan used to be more common but city ordinances and what not became stricter and they start disappearing.
Yatai row in fukuoka is more of tourist destination now not place to eat as it was in olden days.
I miss Yaki Ramen๐ข๐ข๐ข
Never had Ramen without broth. Looked delicious!
I really love these traveling and eating videos. Enjoyable to watch ! hopefully to travel to Fukuoka this coming Spring . Thank you for the wonderful food reviews .
In Japanese, there are multiple ways to count things depending on the object/item, size and shape…believe it or not. When ordering food it's hitotsu (one), futatsu (two), or mittsu (three), etc. To indicate how many people are in your party when you're being seated at a restaurant, it's hitori (one), futari (two), sannin (three), etc.
Google "Japanese numbers and counters" – it's a trip. Ichi, ni, san, is counting 1-10 – it's not wrong, just not the most accurate. The counters for flat items like paper is ichimai, nimai, sanmai, etc. The counters for large items like cars is ichidai, nidai, sandai, etc. Next time you're in an elevator, you'll notice the floors being called out as ikkai, nikai, sangai, etc. My favorite is the counter for animals – ittou, nitou, santou, etc. ๐
Haha you are saying "Fukuwaka" like the joke in Lost in translation ๐๐ช so nice

You should have gotten some ODEN at the Yatai stall you were at.
Welcome to my hometown!๐
Nice video!
Welcome to Fukuoka!! Normally tourists don't visit here especially you've already visited Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto etc, but you did. Very welcome. Hope you enjoyed Fukuoka's local food.

Awesome! I found you looking for information on Okinawa because I am traveling there this Friday! But…the last two days of our trip will be in Fukuoka, so your vlogs have been a blessing!
I love this place. Thank you for not going to the usual path all these YouTubers go. South japan and Fukuoka are a world of their own. The grilled ramen are my favorites.
I first discovered this place when I saw this French dude Remy running a stall. Now you canโt even find time to eat there itโs so crowded. Hope you managed to try Chez Remy. Itโs a whole experience!
