On this freezing winter morning in Japan we’re taking a relaxing walk around Higashikawa 東川町 a lovely small town in Hokkaido 北海道 near Asahikawa 旭川. We start our cold winter morning walk today in the back streets near the Chubetsu river 忠別川 the main river through the town. We then move on through the snowy streets towards Route 1160 – the main road that leads up to Asahidake, and a great place to find local shops and restaurants. We continue down some of the backstreets of Higashikawa exploring the beautiful areas of town that are very peaceful on this quiet afternoon. The snow covered houses are so beautiful on this sunny day, and you’ll love the crunch of my footsteps as we walk through the town! This beautiful town in Hokkaido is an interesting place for a morning walk, especially on a sunny winter’s day! Hope you enjoyed this freezing winter morning walk in Japan!
