Tenjin Matsuri is a festival celebrated in many places around Japan. In Matsumoto, you can find the ceremonies performed at the Fukashi Shrine. The a portable shrine is paraded around the city, along with 18 Matsumoto District floats. You can find them being pushed and pulled through the many streets downtown. Just follow the chanting, beating drums, or whistles!
