  1. If you think that those of us that have been fined will get a refund then keep on dreaming..regards Tony(cuenca)

  2. Yes, Stuart — the USA has a terrible problem with misinformation and people who still believe in conspiracy theories. That's why the fully-vaccinated numbers are worse than Spain.

  3. America is struggling with vaccine administration numbers because of the conspiracy theorists and antivaxers. The liberal states (California, the New England region for example )have better vaccine rates than the conservative states ( Texas. Louisiana, Florida). Although mutations can occur anywhere, it’s much more likely we’ll see variants continue to emerge from countries with vaccine administration rates in the single digits. Even with its spotty vaccine coverage, America isn’t the most likely location location for future mutations. Our fall and winter Covid surges will be spotty & regional.

  4. Hi Stuart.

As an American living in Spain, I feel the need to respond to your comments regarding the vaccination campaign in the United States.

The United States has more vaccine than the population wants. Anyone can be vaccinated at any time in supermarkets, pharmacies and various pop-up locations. Unfortunately, there is a large segment of the population that will never be vaccinated for various reasons. There are certain segments of the population that don’t trust the government for valid reasons (research J. Marion Sims and the Tuskegee Experiment for some of the possible causes of this mistrust). Others may not be able to afford to take time off from their jobs to receive the vaccine or the possible side effects. Please remember many American work at jobs that do not have paid time off. Still others may be afraid of the government for legal reasons, working Americans or residents that may have family without legal status and want to stay under the radar. I’m certain this may be a problem in places like NYC or LA. Others think they are young and invincible. However, there is large amount of misinformation out there. A recent study found that 12 people were the cause of the majority of the anti-vaccine information out there, from both sides of the political spectrum in the United States (https://www.counterhate.com/disinformationdozen). Unfortunately, Covid has become part of the huge political divide in the United States. There are many that still believe it is just a hoax or a simple flu and these beliefs tend follow certain political beliefs. Unfortunately, these political beliefs are concentrated in certain areas of the United States. Places where the population leans more Democrat, a greater amount of the population is vaccinated. There are states with only 30-40% of the total population vaccinated. It is a complicated subject and certainly there have been mistakes on both sides. But if one is Republican, they are far less likely to have taken the vaccine and they are far less likely to mask. And from the start they have been pushing that Covid is a hoax and suppressed the voices of doctors and scientists that needed to lead during these times. It has caused great harm to the country and the world.

There have been incentives in the US, everything from lotteries to gun giveaways, free baseball tickets to free beer, and there will remain a segment of the population that refuse to take the vaccine and refuse to mask. In the meantime, I fear for the world. As this virus continues to mutate, eventually these vaccines will not work. We need to push the US to do more, especially to get the world vaccinated.

Thank you for your daily updates. Your channel has been a great source of information. My husband and I began watching your channel when we were stuck in Canada awaiting to move here. We were finally able to move to Valencia in June of 2020 and can’t wait to experience all of what Spain has to offer. We are patiently waiting to be fully vaccinated.

  5. WA. The place names ending in "UP" are the Aboriginal meaning of "MEETING PLACE" . Mr.P Tenerife. Lol.🌞😁

  6. Having lived in WA for well over 30 years and now living in Spain it was great to hear you mention all the WA towns and suburbs.

  7. Hi, not sure if you got my first message, well the electrical increase in Spain is ridiculous as it should be almost free with all that solar power and wind tech as they keep boasting about to the rest of Europe. My cost here in London is for 773,5 kwh for one month is 100 pounds which is at todays rate of exchange is 117 Euro for one month.

  8. The message is getting out in the U.S.. President Biden is doing an amazing job. The tragic issue is the Republican Party, Faux "News," talk show hosts on the right, and SM are promoting false information.

  9. 20% of vaccinated people can still be infected and come down with C-19, only less severly than without the jab. Not over by a long way yet, 18 months & counting.

  10. Beware of those saying that "we should learn to live with Covid", Covid is dangerous, it spreads and kills all to easily. You cannot live with such a disease, you have to beat it or accept the long term consequences, it is not the common cold.

  11. Hola Stuart. Looks like people who were trying to react fast to a quickly changing, ever developing, potentially very dangerous situation by protecting the public are now being hung out to dry by judges with 20/20 hindsight and all the time in the world to reach their conclusions. Mistakes are bound to be made in extreme, panicky circumstances but unless there’s an allegation that officials deliberately did things for ulterior motives I can see little point in prosecutions. All that leads to is paralysis because officials will be terrified to act at all.
By the way, you’ve got a great view of the artificial ski slope there in Portugal! 😄
Keep the reports coming, and don’t let the dingoes drag you down.

  12. I think there’s some confusion on the electricity prices where wholesale prices are being quoted. Most people are on a contract to pay a fixed amount per kWh, so this doesn’t affect them directly.

  13. Hi Stuart I have been learning spanish for about 5 years im English i had a teacher visit my house once a week for a hour for 3 years she spent time in the north of Spain i also do duolingo and other bits .When I come here to San Juan de los terreros. It sounds like a different language. Muchas gracias por el video

  14. Keep "Perth" rather than change it to some odd sounding native name which nobody can pronounce.

  15. If you own a dog and its still licking and sniffing you …No problem with 19…..regards Tony(cuenca)
