You will explore Kiyomizudera Temple in Kyoto, Japan with me in this video. Kiyomizu-dera (Pure Water Temple) was added to the list of UNESCO world heritage sites in 1994.
Jishu Shrine is behind Kiyomizudera’s main hall. Jishu-Jinja is a shrine dedicated to the deity of love and matchmaking.
The Otowa Waterfall is located at the base of Kiyomizudera’s main hall. Its water is divided into three separate streams; visitors use cups attached to long poles to drink from them. Each stream’s water is said to have a different benefit, namely to cause longevity, success at school, and a fortunate love life. However, drinking from all three streams is considered greedy.
The three-storied Koyasu Pagoda is located on the southern side of the temple, and a visit is said to bring about easy and safe childbirth.
Other structures on the temple grounds include the Okunoin Hall, which resembles the main hall on a smaller scale and has also a stage. Near the Okunoin are halls dedicated to Shaka Buddha (the historical Buddha) and Amida Buddha, as well as a small hall with nearly 200 stone statues of Jizo, the protector of children and travelers.
Near the entrance of Kiyomizudera temple, outside the paid area, stand various other temple buildings, including a vermilion three-storied pagoda, a repository for sutras, large entrance gates, and the Zuigudo Hall which is dedicated to Buddha’s mother.
Tainai-meguri (Tainai meguri ) is also outside the paid area where you pay a small fee and you go into the womb of Daizuigu Bosatsu, a female Bodhisattva with the ability to grant wishes. Going into the cave, though, will be like being reborn. I’d recommend going in barefoot; it’ll let you feel the floor better as you navigate. Keep your hand on the roped handrail and let your sense take over as you walk. If you’re not afraid of the dark, the experience will be calming.
Kiyomizudera temple can be reached from Kyoto Station by bus number 100 or 206. Get off at Gojo-zaka or Kiyomizu-michi bus stop, from where it is a 10-minute uphill walk to the temple.

It's pretty crowded now. It looks like many people still wear masks in kyoto.
