Beautiful night illumination and laser mapping of Matsumoto Castle in Nagano prefecture.
It was very fantastic and nice. One swan released into the moat created a nice effect.
I also took a walk in the park in the evening, so please compare it with the castle in the daytime.

About Matsumoto Castle:
Matsumoto Castle, originally known as Fukashi Castle, is one of Japan’s premier historic castles, along with Himeji and Kumamoto. The building is also known as the “Crow Castle” due to its black exterior. It was the seat of Matsumoto Domain under the Edo Period.
With a history of approximately 400 years, it is the oldest existing five-story, six-story castle tower in Japan. The castle tower is designated as a national treasure.
Matsumoto Castle was built in the Warring States Period, and the castle was designed with warfare in mind.
The reason the walls of Matsumoto Castle are so shiny black is because they are finished with natural resin paint, not chemical paint.
Today, Matsumoto Castle is the only castle in Japan that is coated with black lacquer. The walls of the castle keep are repainted every year without fail.
There are five castles in Japan designated as national treasures out of the 12 existing castle keepers, and they are called the “Five National Treasure Castles”. Himeji Castle, Matsumoto Castle, Inuyama Castle, Matsue Castle, and Hikone Castle.
