We spent New Year’s Eve in Kyoto. In particular, Kyoto in winter was our first experience.

We heard that winter in Kyoto is very cold, and the temperature in the morning was certainly low, but fortunately the weather was fine and we didn’t need a muffler during the day, so the cold didn’t bother us that much.

Bus routes are very developed in Kyoto. This time, we got a “1-day bus ticket” and used it extensively for moving around the city.

However, it is not always convenient to take the bus, and there were times when it was quicker to walk than wait for the bus if it was about the 1or 2 stations of the bus. We also learned that we could reach our destination in the shortest time by changing bus routes along the way.

If you want to move around Kyoto city, you can travel to many destinations in the shortest time by carefully assessing the characteristics of buses, walking, and trains and using them wisely.

This time, we introduced “Kyoto Station area”, but in the near future, we will also upload “Arashiyama area”, “Gion/Higashiyama area”, “Kamo area”, and “Okazaki area”.

We hope that you will enjoy the atmosphere of Kyoto as they welcome the new year.
