In Today’s video we are back at the incredibly beautiful Disney’s Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World.
We are not morning people and one the things that has changed when it comes to going to the parks is, we don’t do rope drop. We have Ridden all the rides and vacations should be about relaxing. We seem to always be pushing the boundaries of making it to our first fast pass. Today was no exception. Even though the resort we were staying at was literally 10 mins away from Animal Kingdom it was shocking that we made it to our 9:50 to 10:50 fastpass+ Windows to ride Na’vi River Journey. Na’vi is a beautiful ride that does have to take second place compared to Flight of Passage. It is right up there with Peter Pan as the longest Queue to ride time ratio if you don’t have a FastPass+.
We do our favorite thin at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, we just wonder around and explore. We do have two more fastPasss but they are nicely spread out.
We go on the Kilimanjaro Safari and ride Expedition Everest with our favorite trick. That is to ride it twice in a row but utilizing the single rider first then getting off and using our FastPass to ride it again. It is such a fun ride we just never get tired of riding it.
After our rides we head to our lunch reservation at one of our favorite places that we eat at every single time we come to Walt Disney World Yak and Yeti. This place never disappoints.
We point out some of the new menu items and we try one of them (We think its new) The Korean Fried Chicken and it was really good. Of course, we had the epic Yak and Yeti fried rice. After trying a bit of the Pork Belly Ramen that Michelle had on our last trip, we had to give that a go as well and it didn’t disappoint. We had a spectacular Carb filled meal that was topped off by a slice of Mango Pie that was also really good! (I love Mangos)

  3. Animal Kingdom has become my favorite Disney Park. I love the safari and Lion King show and just walking around the park. There's also a new experience at the Animal Conservation station with a drawing lesson from animators that is really fun.

Thank you Heather…pie is the best…Now fried rice…1 lge onion diced and cooked in olive oil a TBS until clear throw your rice on and cover for about 5min over med heat you will need to break it up with your hands so make sure your 1 cup of rice is turn with all your onions now…to tiis add cooked chicken, pineapple-bacon sausage and cut into 1/4 inch pieces and fold into rice…add grated fresh ginger 1 TBS or slice up picked ginger…to this add shoyu sauce spinkled on top to taste…now make a hole in the center of your pan by pushing your rice aside….add the eggs and scramble them and your rice should mix together once again then try and add what ever you like…you have fried rice…instead of the chicken you can add shrimp and peas if you like for color…enjoy….

  10. You are looking great Chris!!! Cheat days with Keto are hard and keto in Disney is even harder!!! Stick with it though!! You are doing amazing!

  11. It sounds like your doing "dual fuel" = low carb(and avoid added sugar) with moderate fat separated meals (Separate fats and carbs by meals but you eat both, just not at the same time). That's great, many of my friends do this with Trim Healthy Mama. Dual fuel works as the science is fat with carbs stores as fat but focused carb meals and focused fat meals still allow for some fat adaption balanced with carb burning. Keto is different with more to the science as to how it works or why uncontrolled relapse to carbs causes gains. On keto you need to make your own glucose from fat and that's why you need (and are able to have) 75-80% of your macros coming from satiating fat. People on pure keto drop weight fast as they start to run off their own fat without carbs slowing that down. It's VERY HIGH FATS and almost no carbs(yes, some do carb cycling but that's often with sweet potato on very LOW fat days connected to fasting for work out boasts). I personally wouldn't do high fat unless you can truly do VERY low carb. I use a macro calculator where I can see all my carbs come from veggies and berries. Typically if you still want carbs once your keto adapted (make glucose from fat) it's because your not getting enough fat, salt, or other micro nutrients. If you don't add in fats but just cut carbs it wouldn't be dual fuel or keto, just low carb and still awesome.

  13. Ha! I’m on YouTube to find a copycat recipe for Yak and Yeti fried rice! And I’ve never eaten it because of KETO but my kids love love love it. I love it because of the old fashioned Chinese boxes! Here’s a helper tip, Bulletproof coffee before you get to park and OMAD for the day, but eat what you want for your meal. It works for me!
