On this freezing winter morning in Japan I’m taking a relaxing walk around Higashikawa 東川町 a lovely small town in Hokkaido 北海道 near Asahikawa 旭川. I start my cold winter morning walk today on the bridge over the Chubetsu river 忠別川 the main river through the center of town. I then move on down towards the Michi-no-eki – the main tourist office, and a great place to find local produce and information about places to go and things to see in the area. I continue down some of the backstreets of Higashikawa exploring the beautiful streets that are very peaceful on this quiet morning. The snow covered houses are so beautiful on this sunny morning, and I love the crunch of my footsteps as I walk through the town! This beautiful town in Hokkaido is an interesting place for a morning walk, especially on a sunny winter’s day! Hope you enjoyed this freezing winter morning walk in Japan!
