They have been offering only one sweet, London-yaki with white beans cream in the castella since the end of the second world war in 1945. The reason why the sweet was named “London-yaki” is that using English words was a trend at the time since a lot of people from overseas visited Japan including Kyoto. So they gave it the name, London-yaki without any concerns.
