Hi guys, thanks for checking out my new video! If you are interested in seeing more of Misawa, or Japan in general make sure to subscribe!

In this vlog we headed over to Aomori, Aomori Prefecture to see the Seiryū-ji Temple. Though it may sometimes seem so, not all Japanese temples are old. New ones are often being founded, but their lack of history doesn’t mean they’re not interesting this temple was a prime example. The temple was founded by a Great Acharya Ryūkou Oda in 1982. The “Big Buddha” is roughly 21.35 meters in height, it is the tallest seated bronze figure of Buddha in Japan.

As we entered the temple with colorful flags we had to take our shoes off before entering. While walking through inside I felt like had to whisper because everything was so old and it was dead silent. Once we finished looking around inside we came across the zen garden which was very neat to see such a big version of one! In the video I give a demonstration of how to use the well to purify your hands and mouth, walking along the path with all the statues and running water made the atmosphere very peaceful. The trip overall was fun and I enjoyed seeing the biggest Buddha in Japan! As always thanks for watching and supporting my channel and helping it grow!
