  2. "Azuma" was picked because it is a relatively easy to pronounce Japanese word in English, but it also sounds like "A Zoomer", with zoomer being "something that goes fast" like they are zooming around.

  3. Кроме наличия скоростного транспорта, необходим ещё сам скоростной транспортный трансферт и скоростной транспортный сервис, только в этом случае будут полностью раскрыты все преимущества скорости, как потребительской экономии времени.

  4. Hitachi's UK factory is next to Heighington an obscure station on the local line from Darlington to Bishop Auckland. Obscure, but historically very important. The local line is part of the Stockton & Darlington Railway, and Heighington is the place where the Locomotion was unloaded after its journey by road from Newcastle (which had a locomotive factory but no public railways) and put on the rails. 2025 is the 200th anniversary of the opening of the S&D and there will be some big celebrations.

  5. 🤣Hahaha! You called this a high speed train? Try the REAL high speed trains in EU, Japan and even China! What a joke!

  6. Complain about the seat not reclining, might get some .oney back.

  7. Haha, a beautiful train running on an ancient track. Four hours to go 332 miles / 534 kms so not so fast. It takes 7 hours 40 mins to drive

  8. First Class on trains in the UK just isn't worth the cost. The seats aren't that much bigger than in Standard Class and the service is just the same.

  9. To hell with the train ! You had the pleasure of being offered Britain's finest crisps, Piper's Crisps, from Lincolnshire, naturally. 👍💪💪 😁😉

  10. Compared to your super smooth rides on Japan's high-speed tracks, this train was rocking. Sorry to know about your fiasco with the seat recliner, but is there no attendant on the coach to at least try to get it working? And of course, your gourmet food by BR !? Anyway, thanks for the trip.

  11. I did the same journey on LNER in 2nd Class recently. The seats are fine for 2 or 3 hours but are bad for longer journeys. I had to keep walking about to avoid circulation problems.

  12. I've traveled a few times with LNER, both class 80x and Class 91+Mk4. Amazing experiences with plenty of free food and drinks aboard with super friendly staff. By far my most loved long distance experience in Europe, comparing to classics as TGV, Thalys, Eurostar, ICE and regular long Intercities in style of SNCF, SNCB, NS, SBB and DB.

  13. The journey between London & Edinburgh is decent and Waverley always feels like home to me, even though I live in a different country.

One downside of this route – there’s no room for privacy and not much to explore or show as opposed to a sleeper.

    Job well done, Kuga 👍

  14. I don't understand why it's called a high speed train, it's doesn't go very fast, and it's even as noisy and very moving as a very ordinary train. Fast train are usually a bit like floating on a cloud.

  15. This is not high Speed Train, this is a IEP Azuma Class 800, A High Speed Train is a Class 43 known as a HST.
