A walkthrough of our Panorama Terrace Suite (パノラマテラススイート), a 100m² room with a view of the Seto Inland Sea at Bella Vista Spa & Marina Onomichi (ベラビスタ スパ&マリーナ 尾道), a boutique luxury resort in Onomichi, Hiroshima Prefecture. Note that while it’s technically in Onomichi, it’s far from the main tourist area (about a 40 minute drive away), and is actually closer to Tomonoura (鞆の浦), which is still almost 30 minutes away by car. In fact, there really isn’t a major tourist site anywhere near Bella Vista.
You can, however, go island hopping or hang out one of the nearby beaches (when it’s warm), or use the infinity pool (only in the Summer), or perhaps have a private beach BBQ near the resort. Unfortunately, even though it has “Spa” to its name, Bella Vista does not have any Onsen (natural hot springs) – the Onsen stopped flowing about 6 or so years ago. Having an Onsen would have at least offered guests the ability to chill and relax at the property with nice hot springs. There are three different restaurants on site; we only tried Erretegia (the Spanish-inspired restaurant), which was excellent, so at least Bella Vista has that going for it. The Japanese breakfast (most of it buffet style) was decent but not spectacular. There is a choice of a Western breakfast offering as well.
