I just went to Akita during the heavy snow.The Akita Shinkansen can run even in heavy snow.
From Akita to Morioka, take a scenic local train, then from Morioka take the high-speed Shinkansen route to Tokyo.

Wow! Excellent job job catching the snow that day on the Komachi train. Excellent video.
Loved the video. Out of interest when was this filmed and did the train arrive in Tokyo on time. In the UK it us unlikely to have even left in that level of snow.
In Japan middle of Feb and hope to see snow on Kanazawa to Tokyo Shinkansen trip. Just off to watch your GranClass video for that trip again.😄
