If you are traveling to Hiroshima with a Japan Rail Pass (JR Pass), you can take a Hikari Shinkansen Train and make a transfer at Shin-Osaka Station to take a Sakura Shinkansen Train to Hiroshima Station. This should take about 1 hour and 45 minutes. The Hikari train from Kyoto to Shin-Osaka Station takes about 15 minutes and the Sakura train from Shin-Osaka Station to Hiroshima Station takes about an hour and a half.
Keep in mind that the Hikari Shinkansen Train comes from Tokyo so if you are traveling from Tokyo to Hiroshima with a JR Pass, then you can take a Hikari Shinkansen Train and make a transfer at Shin-Osaka Station to take a Sakura Shinkansen Train to Hiroshima Station
You should be careful not to take Nozomi shinkansen trains as these trains are not covered by the JR pass. Nozomi services are more regular, and quicker, and run straight to Hiroshima without a transfer. However, this will only save you about 15 minutes.
From Hiroshima Station, Take Tram 6 or 2 and get off at Genbaku Dome-Mae Station to get to Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and Hiroshima Atomic Bomb Dome. The JR Pass does not cover the trams in Hiroshima. You can use a prepaid IC card such as Suica or Pasmo to pay for the tram rides.

Brilliant footage this my friend! Thanks for sharing. I visited Tokyo in 2017 and was fascinated by the train system just in the capital. Would love to go back and explore more of beautiful Japan and maybe take a bullet train!
Very helpful video! Is this the same hikari train that runs from Tokyo?
Was this a day trip from Kyoto? Great video BTW…👏👍
