Took my family to Hiroshima for a visit, and it was amazing. Some history: Hiroshima, a modern city on Japan’s Honshu Island, was largely destroyed by an atomic bomb during World War II. Today, Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park commemorates the 1945 event. In the park are the ruins of Genbaku Dome, one of the few buildings that was left standing near ground zero. Other prominent sites include Shukkei-en, a formal Japanese garden, and Hiroshima Castle, a fortress surrounded by a moat and a park.
1. Tenshukaku
The castle tower, which was destroyed by the atomic bombing, was rebuilt in 1958 as a concrete structure with its appearance restored.
2.Ninomaru _
Ninomaru is a small section to the south of Honmaru, and has a structure called umadashi.
Maidashi refers to the section built at the entrance, which protects the entrance and serves as a base for sorties to the outside.
Currently, in the Ninomaru, there are restored Omotegomon, Hirayagura, Tamonyagura, and Taikoyagura.
