More extraordinarily full days in Kyoto. First up was the dripping wet but undeniably charming Gingakukji Temple and a stroll along the sakura-lined Philosopher’s path. A stressful nibble in the Nishiki market brought an end to things. The following morning VERY early, we headed to the Arashiyama neighbourhood to see the famous Bamboo Grove and then go well off piste walking to Kinkakuji.
We spent the afternoon and eating before finally expiring in the old town streets.
Kyoto has a lot more to offer and I would go back in a heartbeat now that I’ve done the more ‘touristy’ stuff.
We ate:
Nibbles around the Nishiki Market
Gyozas and Dan Dan noodles at Tiger Gyoza Kaikan
Maccha Tiramisu and Maccha House
