If you are from Belgium, France, Germany, Monaco, Slovenia, Switzerland or Taiwan, your country does not issue permits based on the 1949 Geneva convention. Instead, your country issues permits based on a different agreement and will therefore require a translation once you arrive in Japan. For this, you should use an official service, such as the Japan Automobile Federation (JAF).
