In the Edo period (1603-1867), three shrines were called “Edo Sanmori”: Karasu-mori Shrine, Suginomori Shrine, and Yanagimori Shrine.
They were Karasu-mori Shrine, Sugi-mori Shrine, and Yanagimori Shrine, which attracted many worshippers. Willow trees, cedar trees, and pine trees.
Ukiyoe and Meisho Zue (Famous Places) of those days show us the town of Edo, which was much richer in nature than it is now.
