The Nürnberg / Nuremberg Christkindlesmarkt in Germany is one of the oldest and most famous Christmas Markets in the world. Here I am walking at the main market, the children’s market and around the city center. In the wooden booths you can find find traditional, often handmade Christmas decorations and sweet treats such as gingerbread and Spekulatius almond cookies. “You men and women who were once children too, be children again,” says the Christkind, as it greets its guests on Nuremberg’s Main Market Square to open the Nuremberg Christkindlesmarkt. With a little childlike joy the Christmas decorations, “Rauschgold” angels, wooden nutcrackers, nativity scenes and colorful stars are all the more attractive as you stroll through the romantic illuminated lanes of the Christkindlesmarkt. Delicious treats at the market are: Original Nuremberg gingerbread and Nuremberg bratwurst, which you should definitely try. On Hans-Sachs-Platz there is a Christmas City just for children. Little visitors can bake cookies, paint glass, write their Christmas wish list for the Christkind or take a ride on the nostalgic carousel or Ferris wheel.     I live in this city. Christmas time is everywhere a Tourist Rip-Off 😉 90 % of all buyables are from Poland, bought for 30 Cent and selled for 30€ ………. There are even more better Christmasmarkets in Germmany as Nuremberg 😉
