We’re just coming out of a cold spell here in the UK where the temperature has been dropping to minus 6 degrees Celsius in Glasgow, it’s forecast to rise to 14 or so degrees tomorrow!
My missus is stuck in the airport , nothing allowed in or out with ten foot drifts. food has run out in the airport. she doesn't know how long they are going to be stuck there
Early big snow for Reykjavik. We were there this time last year and no snow to be seen. Looked back the past few years, and the same, very little snow on Dec.
I've visited all "bucket list countries" and Iceland has been the only country I have been strongly wanting to return right after leaving. Beautiful country at every season. wow
We just left there on the 14th December! Loved Iceland, it was a 60yr dream to visit and see the Northern lights, which we did, twice in one night. It was the most amazing thing and literally made me cry. The people were, without exception, friendly and welcoming and we felt like we were VIPs, even though we most definitely are not 😉 We just missed this weather by a couple of days, but I doubt even that would have put a damper on my once in a lifetime adventure.
I got there on the 16th, the following day the snow storm happened then all our plans were cancelled. Our flight was also cancelled on the 19th and we decided to get a new flight on the 22nd, plus rebooking all our trips and the 21st 🙏🏽

In fact, I wouldn't call it "heavy snowstorm". It's just slightly snowing and a bit windy. That's all🤗
