🥒 ABOUT BEFRS:
Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.
If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I’m a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.

As a Johannesburg born and bred, I can state that South Africa is the best country in the world.
Them people not African they’re Dutch
There’s no such thing as [WHITE AFRICAN] please cut it out 👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿
Hook me when you the Free State
craving a piece of land!
I am proud of my ancestors, they also had hard battles by entering this land, but i am not proud of apartheid. The word of God speaks about dominant people , through the sins of the forefathers, the other nations got blessed, don't always look at the humans, look up to heaven, there is mighty force working in the world. Today they inherited everything colonials had, from education, from Biblical educations, people must look at the proper history, and also from Gods point of view, what He says about the nations upon the earth, he spoke and said they were oppressors of other nations, all over America invaded the Mexican and red Indian nations, Australia invaded the aboriginal tribes, New Zealand did, Russians invaded countries, all over the world Colonial rules where there, Britain invaded South Africa, my boer grand father was not allowed to speak Afrikaans, they called a kitchen language, ask my generation the truth, then you know more. But thanks to show the food and culture, as long as you met them with a clean heart, for what they are the Afrikaner boere people like me. I am greatly appreciative
also have Die Antwoord !
I am impressed with the way you pronounce Afrikaans words. Thanks for making the effort
Come to New Zealand and I will cook you a feast using merino.
Minor correction. South Africa doesn't have 4 ethnic groups. I don't think anyone outside the Americas considers racial categories ethnic groups. A Sotho person and a Zulu person wouldn't consider themselves members of the same ethnic group ("Black"). An Afrikaans person and an English South African wouldn't consider themselves part of the same ethnic group ("White"), either. A bit more complicated given their history, but even among the Coloured, you have everyone from nearly full-blooded Khoekhoe to Cape Malays. You generally try and do a great job of seeing people for who they are, but I think you might have fallen prey to American-centric constructions of ethnicity here.
these are dutch europeans …not african , land stolen, natives murdered
Check out Ethiopas Bible it is the closest to the original
Please review the cape malay foods in cape Town. You will enjoy the variety and flavours
🤤Even South Africa's animal names revolve around color and racism 7:45 .. The Lesser and the Greater
Wow nice israel vídeo
Africans aren’t white. Seriously who does your research? The Broedebond co-opted the “Afrikaner” moniker from Oude Ram Afrikaner to create a homogeneous culture.
Also today’s “Afrikaner” culture includes the French Huguenots, Germans, with the Dutch the largest group when they took over the Cape then trekked to getaway from the British.
So no one has a problem with them calling this video "White African Food" 🤔
There's no such thing as an African who's not black. That's our actual ethnicity and we must be careful when Europeans are calling themselves Africans or Afrikaans etc. We have been demonized and vilified for being born African descent and yet while we take the bait, others are moving in on our truth in order to claim it as their own and rewriting historical truths into alternative reality.
When the hell did food get a race?
Milf
Diversity! The right word is occupation. Africa has segregation apartheid racism…you name it. But Diversity is said on a country that wasn't occupied and has equal rights for its citizens
Talks about kudu… proceeds to put up a picture of a Nyala
There no such a thing as white African 🚮they are EUROPEANS
she looks so beautiful
Not 89% whites man more like 30%
Bunch of mad mud hut bums
I have been to homes where they have braais in an inside outside room so people can braai when it rains. True commitment.
The Afrikaner identity didn’t start in 1652. While the Dutch was the largest colonial group, there was also French Huguenots and Germans and through miscegenation the “Afrikaner” identity was formally co-opted in the early 20th century. The Second Boer war anyone? And “Afrikaans” didn’t happen in a vacuum, its became a mix of the indentured servants and slaves and Dutch over time – that’s why it varies from say the Cape to Transvaal and why historically the provinces had different languages dominating because different cultural make ups.
There’s a lot of fallacious information and a kind of whitewashing.
And biltong is way better than jerky.
