I visited this ruins again about 10 days after filming this video when the snow was about 3 times as deep, and made a more casual VLOG of the adventure that is up on my Patreon. (I took Victor of Frame of Travel out there. It was a great day!) If you really like the channel, please consider supporting me on Patreon where I post exclusive VLOGs and drone videos.)

First new video I catch since subscribing to you recently. Been binging your backlog and I've become a fan! Love your narration, the places you show and the topics you cover 👍
If I manage to save enough for the dream trip to Japan, I will definitely reach out! But don't plan on that for now. 🥲
What the f**k? That’s nuts right there. Liked the view though.
The view for the most part is kind of sad with all these ruins around . I have to admitt though that the view from the roof is great .
Great video! I love your abandoned places adventures. How much extra time do you have to take to set up your camera and then trek back to do walk-up scenes? It seems like it's one of those pains that most YouTubers feel they have to capture.
Sorry, I had to stop watching at about 2 minutes. Buildings in this kind of condition disturb me greatly. I am glad you can do this, and that you are safe when searching the ruins.
Thank you!
I can keep watching videos like these for hours
Looks like it would be safer when hidden traps aren't hidden by the snow!
I really enjoyed wandering around inside of Morioka City, so some day I'll be back up to wander around outside.
Mint video! Really enjoyed this one
Such a beautiful view . Will definitely be looking into spending a night or two with you to make the most of the hikes in the area and eventually I also want to partake in the foraging tours . When the time comes you'll hear from me ∩^ω^∩
Such an atmospheric looking place! It really does serve as a metaphor for the impermanence of human aspirations as well as the unsustainability of much of our contemporary lifestyles. It was curious seeing that the prime language of the graffiti seemed to be English, I'm guessing teens see English as cool. I was wondering when visiting that and other similar places, do you see evidence of animals 'reclaiming' those ruins or do they tend to stay away?
Thanks for taking us along with you.
Thank you for sharing! Do you offer tours for individuals with mobility limitations? I plan to visit Japan in a few years and either use a cane, a wheelchair, or a walker depending on the day and how my body is feeling. I love hiking and adventuring, although my options are often limited. If you don’t offer tours for mobility limitations this do you know who does? Thanks again 🙂
really cool
3:30 Your remark on the asthma epidemic in Japan during the 1960's. I used to live in Yokkaichi (Mie-ken), which is infamous in Japan for Yokkaichi asthma 四日市ぜんそく, one of the four big pollution diseases of Japan.
I think my comment went into the ether.
I seriously just want to go to Japan to go north. I’m sure I’d love the south, but I really want to go north.
It high key reminds me of Zelda. So I supposed I want to play IRL 😂
Seriously though, this channel made me realize I love the idea of being in Japan a lot more than I thought I did just because of that game.
I can’t wait to get out there and go north. I will 1000% absolutely need a guide and be using your services when I’m ready!❤
Absolutely enjoying your content Quinlan, keep 'em coming!
Depends on geology Kitakami sanchi mountains existing more than 100m years above sea only where got it in this country
Great work as always. I was waiting for a rogue gang of English speaking graffiti artists to jump out at you.
Very best to you in the new year Quinlan.
water and winter is a great combination to destroy these concrete structures
The ruins are so lonely looking! I am glad that the government is taking steps to clean up the toxins, and I hope they don't repeat the same mistakes 🙁
It was wonderful to see you go back to these ruins. Winter really enhances the 'apocalyptic' vibes.
Very interesting thank you!
I think this is one of the main problem with procuring ressources.
Most of the time they are mined by private companies. they take all the stuff they want and move. They almost never clean up when they are finished. They don't care about the longterm effects and damages done.
Sometimes they just create a sub company, put everything in it and let it go broke. So now there is no more company that can be legally made liable for the damages….
Great video. I like that you shared the history and environmental impact
