The guest room ceiling of #Shojuin #Temple is now decorated with 160 panels; each has one of the traditional motifs painted by professional artists and art students. Completed in 2017, the photogenic ceiling paintings made the temple instantly popular.

Shojuin Temple is also famous for its heart shaped “Inome-Window” which is actually a traditional pattern from ancient times in Japan. The temple is just a one-hour drive from #Kyoto Station; a wonderful choice for Kyoto repeaters!
