Our nemesis, the Icelandic rain, keeps us in its grip while we try and make the best of the situation. When there seems to be an opening in the weather we are in for a muddy off road stretch with volcanic ash. A river crossing is made memorable by a new four legged friend we name Icy. Finally the sun decides to be a bit less shy and once again we find an amazing camp spot with next level vistas. Life is better when challenges are overwon!

Iceland certainly is one of the more challenging places we have cycled. One of the worst summers in recent history we heard made it all the more demanding. Still we enjoyed every bit of it, although some of it type two fun 😉 Have you ever been to Iceland or are you planning on going? It's bound to be a special experience! Have a great day, E&M
Very tough conditions!
💪🚵🏼❤️
You both are fools 😂 because summer is best season for cycling in Iceland for money 💸 and living people do rubbish things like you. You both are a example of fools 😂
Even though it is tough wet and cold at least you are rewarded with a beautiful view and a peaceful surroundings. It is a life of a cyclist when you want to travel the World. The adventure continues right? Happy holidays to you both.
Oh this brings back so many memories. I remember camping under a house that was on a transport trailer for a day to get out of that rain.
I always opted to move my bags over separately as I was worried crossing a stream like that could be a disaster at any moment. More trips, but faster crossings
Watching your incredible footage at the end makes my heart ache
Wow, you guys are determined. I hope you all the best for the remainder of your trip in Iceland. However, for your next birthday I'd head out to the French Riviera. Happy Belated Birthday Maudi.
Love the cheeky product placement @5:10 ! Hope the sponsorship deal works out for you 👍
Yet another beautiful video. Thank you both so much for making these. I admire your commitment to filming, Eric, but I was desperate for you to go and give Maudi a hand with that river crossing! She coped well, though.
Namasta from nepal
Iceland isn't worth the effort of cycling. I understood it many years ago: The climate is too hard, the distances are too big between the settlements (if there is any), the landscape is mostly lack of trees, big part is completely grey without any grass, The off roads with the mud are often too difficult for cycling, And the distances between the nature attractions are huge. So the benefits of the tough cycling there is very small.
Respect to Maudi for pushing her bike out of the river fully laden with encouraging filming from Eric, you guys are terrific.
Iceland or Rainland! thanks guys I'm watching this with a nice cup of tea in my warm kitchen, hats off to your spirit of adventure, great stuff
Ahh, yet another amazing video from you two! Even in the most demanding conditions you succeed to catch just these moments, also with fantastic skills of audio video and equipment. Thanks!
Well done to you both once again on producing such an excellent quality episode. It must have been tough while you were there, this was the summer time too yeah? Beautiful stunning scenery, it's great to see the grit and determination it actually takes to be on tour too. 👍😎
Very difficult but adventurer ride. Your crossing the icy cold water and dragging bike scene is amazing.
Great video filled with even greater challenges. Glad to see you are finding ways to avoid the ring road. Stay safe. Additionally, maintaining your senses of humor under those weather conditions can't be easy. Kudos!
You guys are living our dream🤗 we are really inspired by you two. Enjoy traveling like this and keep warm!:)
you two are HEROES. good luck, keep on riding, I love your videos!
I admire your sense of adaptation to any inconvenience. The Icelandic climate should never be underestimated. You have a nice way of facing and solving every problem. What could possibly go wrong?
Cycling in challenging terrain and making friends with a wet dog. Reminded me of good old Iohan, RIP. I'm sure he would have approved.
Aw that friendly doggy is the cutest! 🥰
I could think of better things to do.
What a great episode! I felt a bit sorry though with that shi**y weather 😢
Come over to Greece, we had 20oC Celsius yesterday 😊
The best coffee maker there is for cycle touring. I love having a good coffee to start my day.
You sure managed to select an interesting path 😀
Most beutiful landscape of iceland,
Great hardwork both of you,
Love you so much both of you
Pls take care
A tough day in the office, so to speak!! As an owner of two Border Collies, I wonder if Icy made it back home ok? They are a lovely breed of dog but require daily exercise, most are friendly and love people. stay healthy and good travels,
PS, I'm guessing you can't get Passion Fruit where you are lol.
Happy birthday Maudi…so sorry it rained… will make for good memories though…years from now you'll be like, hey you remember when it rained and rained on my birthday that time in Iceland all those years ago lol…JK..you guys are great… bicycle warriors..you rock !
Thanks for another great video.
Great Animation at the beginning with the satellite view. How did you do this? Which tool did you use ?
It's really challenging when there's rain, whatever, I hope you have a safe ride
Well, you are really courageous to ride your bikes in these horrible weather conditions ! You get some rewards afterwards: Nice landscapes and lights !
You've maybe already done it, but, when you'll have time, I'll be interresting in what kind of bike do you have and what kind of rain jackets and trousers you use: if they survive to Iceland, that must be good clothes ! 😉
Thanks again for making us travelling !
Next time, find a barn or warehouse to shelter inside.
260 euro damn that’s a month of cycle touring expenses! When it gets tough out there it’s just you on your own and the mind starts to get foggy. Some times we pay the hotel and hate the experience because it’s such a rip off, other times we tough it and pay the price in other ways.. that’s cycle touring. It’s hard to deliver the experience to film but you guys do a great job.
Iceland is now terrible due to the destruction caused by tourism . Way way too many people visiting
I admire your calm and patience. I would have started kicking and screaming (leaky tent, endless rain, bad roads), but you two take it with a healthy dose of sarcasm. Hats off…
Man that amount of wind and rain can make it hard to enjoy. Hope you still had a good time. Otherwise at least you got some beautiful shots. And fantastic editing again!
you dont come to Iceland for the weather…. 😉
Most icelanders who are planning on going camping in Iceland choose their destination either the night before or the morning of the trip. All in search of the best weather. Thats how rapidly the weather can change and how much it affects our lives here.
If you are planning on cycling here…or just about any travel mode…make room for unexpected delays because of weather….even more so during winter.
You are so strong guys! I would die there without meat)) Good luck and tailwind only!
Do you know, is it possible come to Iceland from UK or Ireland with the ship?
Wow , this looks like a nightmare – but you made it , hurray !
Tough life in Iceland. It's someplace I enjoy seeing but not in person. I am a cyclist but I stick to the paved trails at 68 years old.
Incredible adventure guys, great video. Wishing more dry days for you guys.
