Electric Multiple Units / Rail cars in action on Hokkaido in November 2015.
This time was before the opening of the Hokkaido Shinkansen from Shin-Aomori, so both JR Hokkaido & JR East were operating passenger train services between Hakodate on the island of Hokkaido and Aomori on Honshu (Japan’s main island) via the undersea Seikan Tunnel.

1254 hrs: Limited Express Super Kamui 22 departs for Sapporo with 785 series set #NE121
1325 hrs: Super Kamui 15 arrives from New Chitose Airport & Sapporo with Series 789 5 car EMU set #HL1003
1342 hrs: Series 785 set arrives empty cars arrive for the 1425hrs Super Kamui #26
1355 hrs: 789 series EMU # HL-1003 departs with Super Kamui #24 to Sapporo & New Chitose Airport

1021 hrs: 789 Series EMU set #HL-1001arrives with Super Kamui 14 to Sapporo & CTS
1030 hrs: Limited Express Suzuran 3 arrives from Muroran with 789 series set #HL-1007
22 November 2015 – Hakodate Station
1023 hrs: Series 785-300 (2 cars) & 789 Series (6 cars) EMUs depart on Super Hakuchō 20 service to Shin Aomori
1120 hrs: JR East 485-3000 series EMU departs for Shin Aomori on Hakucho 22
1139 hrs: 789 series EMU arrives on Super Hakucho 95 from Shin Aomori, led by set #HE-108
23 November 2015 – Minami-Chitose Station
1121 hrs: 785 series EMU set NE-5 arrives & then departs with the 1118hrs Airport to Asahikawa (via Sapporo) service
1201 hrs: 5 car 785 series EMU set #NE-2 departs for Chitose Airport with Super Kamui #16, 0955 hrs from Asahikawa via Sapporo
24 November 2015 – Minami-Chitose Station
1100 hrs: EMU 789-1002 arrives with Super Kamui #14, 0855hrs ex Asahikawa, via Sapporo, to New Chitose Airport as snow falls.
