A MONTH IN JAPAN| SOUTH AFRICAN IN JAPAN | SOUTH AFRICAN ABROAD | BEER, DINNER, CRAFTERS MARKET

I arrived in Japan as part of the JET program South Africa almost a month ago. Being a South African abroad means I get to miss a few things about my home country. It is no joke to leave your home country and I certainly miss the spicy food we have been accustomed to in South Africa, however, it has been a beautiful and insanely interesting time in Nihon (Japan).

The country well known for its polite people has brought exactly that to my doorstep. Having dinner with a few locals, meeting fellow Southern Africans who spend their precious time showing me around Fukui prefecture whilst having a good time.

Sculpture park, crafter’s market, craft beer, lots of food and all round great time is how I spent the last week of my first month in Japan.
