Japan Solo Travel! Exploring Asakusa in a Day! ⛩️

Some thoughts 💭
I went to Senso-ji in the morning and then at night. It was more crowded in the morning compared to at night. But if you had extra time and nowhere to go, heading over to Senso-ji would be a great idea. When the lights are up, Senso-ji has a different appearance and to me, it looks better with the lights.

Since I had nowhere to go when I was at the SkyTree and I didn’t want to visit the observation deck. It popped into my mind that I could probably find a spot with a good view of the building while waiting for the sun to set. And that is how I got the timelapse from X to X.

Not much of transportation is needed since I spent the day in the same area. And walking from Senso-ji to the SkyTree was quite a great experience cus along the way, you’ll be able to see the SkyTree from time to time and it grows taller and taller when we are approaching it.

Since I didn’t spend much time in Ushijima Shrine, there’s not a lot I can say about it. But something special about this shrine is that it has a rare “Triple Torii” gate and there’re not many visitors. So it was quiet and peaceful. You can touch the Ox Statue too, it is said that it can cure sicknesses.

Well, my day trip was all about chilling so it was pretty slow-paced and I did not go to many places. If you have a tight schedule, you might have to change the plan to what you’d prefer.

And yes, food-wise, I had Mcdonald’s for lunch. Well, since I just wanted to try out how different are Japan’s Mcd burgers so I went to the nearest SkyTree outlet. As for dinner, since I was craving for sushi, I went to Sushiro, which was also nearby for dinner. It’s a conveyor belt sushi restaurant, affordable prices, tasty sushi and you can order from a tablet (a plus point for those who can’t speak Japanese).
