The Spring Temple Buddha statue is second tallest statue in the world. Standing at 153 m (503 ft) it is a truly awesome sight to behold. It reminds me of the bronze giant in Jason and the Argonauts but in a nice way. Once you have seen this statue, you won’t want to see any other statue (except for the Statue of Liberty), it really is quite amazing.

  1. In China there are so many wonderful sites mainly man made worth seeing. Really amazing. Buddha's messages require to be followed by the people of all races, cultures, origins, irrespective of where he/she belong to.

  3. Absolutely disgusting what the Taliban did to the Buddhas of Bamyan in 2001… a level of ignorance and apathy that is not measurable.
As a human being who is driven by intellect, doesn't hate others or fill my mind with righteousness… it's just outright disgusting neanderthal behavior.

  4. At first, I was like, "Wait, why is there a swastika on the Buddha's chest?" But it's not inverted, so I'm assuming it's not a swastika?
