I went for a wander along the beach in Bali, Indonesia and had some interesting encounters.

  1. So this is the place many Australians pay to visit when they have places at home that are better? Strange.

  2. Watching the beach scene on this video, I noticed that many local people were wearing long sleeve shirts and pants, and women were covering
the head with scarfs even in such a warm weather. I wonder if they don't feel hot in wearing so much clothing.

  3. Man, you have some printed shirts that rival an Indian woman’s saree prints lol very colorful and vibrant.

  4. People seem very nice and friendly but it seems very touristy and not very impressed with the beach areas so far. Just not my idea of an island paradise I guess

  5. I was in Bali a month ago and I had a drink at EXACTLY the same restaurant sitting at EXACTLY the same table where you sit in the end of the video! Amazing!!! 😆

  6. Sounds like it is worth flying to Bali for the cost of the massages alone!
Bummer, though, to go from a soothing massage to a stressful taxi ride.
So how much was that one mile, stuck in traffic, taxi ride?

  7. Always check your wallet after a massage, or at the very least always keep an eye on your belongings.

  8. Bali is still very undeveloped compared to other big name places. In Mexico Tulum I'm already paying like 100 USD for a 10 minute ride

  9. I found Kuta Lombok the evil twin of Kuta Bali due to departing Kuta Lombok on a touring bicycle into the remote regions where Police forcibly prevented me from adventuring further due to my entering the bad lands.

  10. Did you know the small island of Bali now has over 3.3 MILLION people who live there on a full time basis? And countless temporary residents and visitors. The population is 30% higher than in 2000.

The media and tourist industry sell it as a tropical and scenic wonderland but while there is some nice scenery left on the northern part of the island the whole place is being paved over and westernized. How sad!

  11. Let's be honest…over population, soil erosion, climate change, pollution, neglect and greed. Pick any of these descriptions to explain the work the Indonesians are doing. And of course, not only them. The West exploits all these paradises. We just can't help ourselves….LITERALLY !
Heartbreaking….the beaches look very different from when I last saw them, 30 years ago !

  12. 29:01 Differnce between Thai Massage and Bali. Thai is kinda rough, fast, come on come on hurry up get it over with attitude. Bali has the slow soft "right" touch relaxing feeling massage. Excellant illustration and great video. Keep up the good work.
