Welcome back to Japan! Today, we’re visiting probably the most famous bamboo grove in the whole world: Arashiyama’s Bamboo Forest. We woke up bright and early to see it without people, just as we’d pictured it. And I think we got there at the perfect time! This is definitely one of those places worth waking up early for. Kyoto is extremely touristy so you might have to sacrifice sleep when you’re there if you want to enjoy some of the most popular places properly.
We were here during Autumn so we could see autumn foliage AND bamboo plants, the perfect combination. We hope you enjoy the sounds of the bamboo forest and that you feel like we’ve transported you there 😊
Arashiyama has so many places we wanted to see and didn’t manage to so next time we visit Kyoto, we’re definitely staying overnight. It was one of our favourite areas we visited while in Japan. Even the journey there is absolutely stunning. And the train that took us there is probably the cutest train in the world!
