The largest capacity crane in the world is hard at work at Crows Nest Station, installing the steel framework for the new metro station concourse.

Three huge truss beams were recently delivered and installed at Crows Nest Station
They were lifted into position by the largest capacity tower crane in the world
The crane can lift up to 330 tonnes
One beam weighs an impressive 114 tonnes, and the other two weigh 93 tonnes, and 45 tonnes respectively
The beams provide a stable form to support the over station development
The new metro station creates new public transport connections for people living in Crows Nest
