Shanghai’s famous “Little United Nations” Gubei International Community – once the No. 1 veteran rich area | Urban Autumn Walking Tour

In the 1990s, when Shanghai Hongqiao Development Zone introduced a large number of foreign-funded enterprises, in order to meet the living needs of international talents, the government planned and built Gubei International Community with high standards. The advanced facilities of the community meet the consumption needs of the middle and upper class, and the advanced, humanized and diversified public and service system management has attracted many international talents to settle here.
There are more than 28,000 foreigners living in Shanghai Gubei International Community, of which 60% are Korean and Japanese, 20% are European, and the rest are from Hong Kong and Taiwan. They come from more than 60 countries, so it is called a small United Nations.

上世纪90年代，上海虹桥开发区引进大量外资企业时，为了配合国际人才的生活需求，政府高标准规划建设了古北国际社区。社区配套设施的超前性，满足于中上阶层的消费需求，公共和服务系统管理的先进性、人性化、多元化，吸引了许多的国际人才定居在这里。
上海古北国际社区居住着外籍人士28000多人，其中韩日籍占60%，欧洲人士20%，其余为港台人士，他们分别来自60多个国家，所以有小小联合国之称。
