Welcome to our Jaffna Market Hunt in SRI LANKA 🇱🇰
Jaffna, Sri Lanka has some insane markets.. including fish and street markets.
Northern Sri Lanka is rarely visited by tourists, due to the recent conflicts that finished in 2009.

  1. Hi..! Luke and naomi. If you can go on the Siripada journey, another one of the most difficult journeys in the couple's Sri Lankan journey, you must go for it. From 12/07, 2022 it is a trip that can only be taken for up to 6 months. I am happy to remind you that the pilgrimage to Siripa has started. Nilukshan is a good guide and a knowledgeable person, get as much information as possible from him. I am reminded that there are many beautiful places that only Sri Lankans travel to which are not famous. Thankyou..! See more detailsu https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam%27s_Peak

  2. I know for a fact that you both will be responsible if a boom of tourism in Jaffna and the surrounding areas happens. Thanks Guys!

  3. Another elegant video from the mad couple. I love it too.
Guys if you prefer to have alcoholic beverages, there is a special drink contain around 33% of alcohol called 'Palmira Arrack' which is made in Jaffna. It's available in Jaffna wine shops and you can try it if you prefer.

  4. The chewing gum sounds like an American brand called "Bazooka Gum" . It was red, totally saturated in sugar and very sticky after you got the sugar melted off in your mouth. The Beatle Juice allows factory workers in Asia to work 18 to 20 hour shifts every day until their bodies wear out due to exhaustion or they die of cancer or both. It is illegal in North America because it is addicting, unhealthy, and gives Asian manufacturers an unfair advantage at the expense the quality of the workers' lives. Instead most North American workers tend to use cocaine for the same qualities of endurance and ability to earn large sums of money quickly. Of course using either one will end with a prison sentence.

  5. If you want to explore less touristy destinations, don't forget Talaimannar. Closest place between India and Sri Lanka.

  6. It was on a Sunday that the Jaffna market's most shops were closed, the dried green chilli has to be fried before eating alone with papadam and main meals, the dried green chilli is so hot n spicy for you guys, so take care of it.
Thank you for the fish, vege and other market shops in the Jaffna town, Luke n Naomi🙏

  7. Not sure how much time and money you spend to get this Sri Lanka experience, but it’s worth “priceless” when it’s time to come with life goes on!
    ❤❤❤

  8. @TwoMadExplorers It's good that you both Luke & Naomi toured Jaffna with two Sri Lankans as tour guides. It's good that you both did not eat the chilies purchased from the market which were meant to be fried first, so having a Sri Lankan guide helped to know. Those chilies seemed to be Moru Miris (Curd Chilies)/මෝරු මිරිස්. You can try making it while in Sri Lanka or may be once you both are back in Ireland or Germany. Check this video which gives details in English. Does this video interest you both? https://youtu.be/KmQLHEh_lvM

  9. Very interesting..now lets see some Jaffna dishes..love Jaffna mango..when we were young we used to eat Jaffna mango in Colombo..lol. thank you

  10. That vegetable is called “Winged Beans.” It’s because of the “Wings sort of leafs on the outer layer.”

  11. Thanks you so much for the love you have shared with us here in Sri Lanka. You two are so humble. Waiting eagerly for a new video every day. If you have a chance please visit Haputale and Poonagala you will definitely feel you are in a heaven. If you search youtube Poonagala and Haputale you can see the beauty. Love from Sri Lanka 💖💜♥️
