After our Alta Via 2 Trek, we settled down for 3 weeks in Ortisei / St. Ulrich. The historic church of St Jakobs provides one of the most scenic and beautiful views in the area. It looks out towards Sasso Lungo whose peaks hide in the clouds. From there we can walk back down to town past many wonderful alpine homes, inns, and restaurants. You can take a small bus almost all the way up to the church but you’ll have to climb about 500 more meters to get all the way up or you can walk at home on this walking trails for treadmill.
