Thomas Cole is a famous American painter who invented a new style and movement known as the Hudson River School. He moved to Cedar Grove farm in Catskill, NY in 1825 and he painted a lot of artworks in this studio until his death. Cole was inspired by the bright autumn colors of the eastern Catskill Mountains of New York.
