Phra Prang Sam Yot is a famous scenic spot in Lopburi, which is also the most crowded spot for monkeys. It is about 400 meters from the Lop Buri train station. The biggest night market in Lop Buri is just across the road from it.

The monkey festival in Lopburi 🐵 🐒 🍉 🍓:
Every year on the last Sunday of November, a fruit buffet is held for thousands of monkeys near Phra Prang Sam Yot in the Lop Buri. The scene is very interesting.

Thousands of monkeys live in the city of Lopburi. When you are in areas with lots of monkeys, monkeys may jump on your shoulders, on your head, and may try to take your glasses, necklaces, earrings, mobile phones, wallets, food, or anything that can be taken away. So, be careful, preferably with a stick or selfie stick, etc. in hand to scare off the monkeys trying to jump on you. When a monkey jumps on you, if you don’t stop it, a second monkey and a third monkey will jump on you.

How to come to Lop Buri 🌎
🚄 By train: from Bangkok to Lop Buri, or from Chiang Mai to Lop Buri
🚐 By minivan: from Bangkok to Lop Buri, it’s about 2 hours
Name of Lop Buri minivan station: KO Van Lop Buri, it’s about 100 meters from the Lop Buri railway station. The minibusses run every hour of the day. The ticket from Lop Buri to Bangkok is 130 Thailand baht.

Food 🥣 🍍:
🌙 There is a small night market near Lop Buri Railway Station, where you can buy very cheap local street food and juices.
🌙 There is the biggest night market in Lop Buri just across the road from Phra Prang Sam Yot. At night, outside the night market, you can see the small ferris wheel in the night market and hear music. I will show the biggest night market in Lop Buri in the next few videos, which is really very big.

Hotel 🏠:
The name of the hotel I booked is Noom Guest House & Restaurant
Location advantage: It is about 200 meters away from the train station. This hotel is about 200 meters away from Phra Prang Sam Yot. The hotel is only about 50 meters from the KO Van bus station.

Reservation and price: I booked this hotel through the Booking website. The price when I booked was 450 baht per day.

Hotel situation: The first floor is a restaurant, with delicious Thai and Western food, drinks, pool tables, public toilets, and public showers. Many Europeans and Americans like to drink and chat on the first floor.
On the second floor, there are bedrooms without separate bathrooms.

If you don’t have high requirements for the accommodation environment, it’s a very good choice.

When I was in Lop Buri at the end of November, it was very hot and sunny during the day, so it’s best to bring a bottle of water. If you are afraid of getting a tan, bring a sunshade.
