Located on the southern tip of Hokkaido, the city of Hakodate exceeded all our expectations. We hit the road to hunt some Cherry Blossom and Natural beauty during this Golden week (2019), so glad we chose Hakodate.
Starting from Sapporo at 06:30 am, we began by catching a glimpse of the mighty Mount Yotei. After covering all the scenic spots along the way, we reached Hakodate in the afternoon. The moment our vehicle stopped at the Goryukaku, we could hardly contain the excitement… All the trees (over 1000) in full bloom! Later, we hopped on to Mount Hakodate Rope way to see the top view, one of its kind in Japan. Returned all burnt up at around midnight 😀
This trip is highly recommended, we covered a lot in a day. If you like to explore more of Hakodate a night stay can be added.
