On the 2nd day in Kyoto, I visited Enkoji temple and Rurikoin which are very very popular for the autumn leaves and they are hard to get in. Especially Rurikoin, they open to the public only twice a year, therefore, many people try to visit there for this.

    When I see what you have in store for the day, I think 🤔 I have entered a film, the sounds of voices and streams and life. The steps, yours, I follow, the views, with your eyes, bring these closer to me. The lines in the Zen Garden, set my imagination ablaze. I appreciate so much, hearing your words on the screen, telling me the history and filling me with more respect for the area. Even with all the people around you, it still conveyed a sense of peace and beauty of the environment. At the Rurikoin Temple it was nice to see the historical items and be apart of the buildings and paths. I think it is also nice that respect is always shown in the temples and various other sites.     A delightful video. Out of the two temples, the light display which shows the autumn leaves at Rurikoin makes it the best for myself. A very nice place to visit even if it is a bit far from central Kyoto. I'm sure to visit both in the future. Take care of yourself and have a great weekend.

    一点教えていただきたいんですが、瑠璃光院の予約はどれくらい前だと取れるものなんですかね？
    私先週京都に行っていて、その二週間程前に急きょ行く事になったんですが、その時点で瑠璃光院の公式サイトで予約しようとしたら、既にすべての期間が売り切れになっていました。
    だから紅葉シーズンに瑠璃光院拝観するなら、その予約を撮ってから旅程を組むくらいでないとダメかなと思いまして。

    Do you regret going later to Rurikoin or would you have rather gone at say 2:00? I also have a odd question for you… how much of Japan gets covered in snow? Roughly where is the cut off between regular snow fall and no snow?
