青森県 八甲田山の紅葉絶景めぐり ( 城ヶ倉大橋 / 地獄沼 / 睡蓮沼 ） / Autumn leaves of Mt. Hakkoda ( Aomori, Japan )【日本の紅葉絶景！】

八甲田山は、青森県南部に位置する火山群の総称で、「日本百名山」の一つに数えられます。八甲田山は標高1,584mの大岳を中心に、複数のピークが連なる山で、田茂萢岳（たもやつだけ） (1,324m) にはロープウエイも通じています。
八甲田山の紅葉は山頂部から山麓部まで、長期間楽しめますが、今回は、中腹～山麓部の紅葉名所をご紹介します。

城ヶ倉大橋は、城ヶ倉渓谷に架けられた全長360mの橋で、上路式アーチ橋として日本一の長さを誇ります。橋の下には城ヶ倉渓流があり「日本の紅葉百選」にも選定されています。谷底から橋までの高さは約120ｍで、四季を通して八甲田山系の絶景を楽しめる橋です。また、北西方向には「日本百名山」である岩木山も望めます。

地獄沼は、爆裂火口跡に温泉が溜まってできた沼で、千人風呂で有名な酸ヶ湯温泉の近くにあります。
睡蓮沼は、標高1040mの傘松峠の近くにある沼で、八甲田の山々が水面に映る景観が有名です。標高がやや高く、紅葉のピークは若干早めで、10月上旬頃が最も美しい時期とされます。

八甲田山の紅葉は、山頂部の9月中旬に始まり、山麓部は10月下旬まで、長期間楽しめます。

Mt. Hakkoda is a group of volcanoes located in southern Aomori Prefecture and is one of the “100 Greatest Mountains of Japan.” Mt. Hakkoda is a mountain with a series of peaks centered on the 1,584-meter-high O-dake.A ropeway leads to Tamoyatsudake (1,324m).

Mt. Hakkoda’s autumn leaves can be enjoyed for a long time, from the top of the mountain to the foot of the mountain.

The Jogakura Ohashi Bridge is a 360-meter-long bridge built over the Jogakura Valley, and is the longest of its kind in Japan as an overpass arch bridge. The height from the bottom of the valley to the bridge is about 120 meters, and the bridge offers a spectacular view of the Hakkoda mountain range in all four seasons. Mt. Iwaki, one of the 100 most famous mountains in Japan, can also be seen to the northwest.

Jigoku-numa (Hell Swamp) is a swamp formed by hot spring water pooling in the ruins of an explosive crater, and is located near the famous Sukayu hot spring with its thousand-person bath.

Suiren-numa (Water lily swamp) is located near Kasamatsu Pass at an altitude of 1040 meters, and is famous for its view of the Hakkoda mountains reflected in the water. Due to its slightly higher elevation, the peak of the autumn leaves is slightly earlier, with the most beautiful time being around early October.

The autumn leaves of Mt. Hakkoda can be enjoyed for a long period of time, starting in mid-September at the top of the mountain and continuing until late October at the foot of the mountain.
Hakkoda is a beautiful place to see autumn leaves.
