I went to Kiso Valley, located in Nagano prefecture with 2 well preserved post towns. Post towns were built to cater to travelers back in old Japan who needed a place to rest, eat, and stock up on supplies as they traveled as far as Kyoto to Edo which is modern day Tokyo. I hiked the famous trail between Magome and Tsumago. It took around 2 hours, and had a memorable experience.
