I needed this after snow all last week. So lush.
Grated daikon radish seems like the secret ingredient here 😂.
What a wonderful video. I always feel a big chunk of wanderlust coming over me watching your videos.
Thank you for the great content and another big thanks to Haruo-san for taking us around.
Hahaha, you're a good sport, Quinlan! I'm glad we got to see Alejo even though it was a surprise visit!
Oh, such a delightful outing! Wild mushroom foraging really seems to be growing in popularity. From the wild morels I’ve enjoyed in the spring, it’s not too difficult to understand why! Thank you again for these adventures you share!
would love to see a cooking video aswell!
Danke!
I’m glad both of the gentlemen let you film them. 😊
I love this type of videos. Brings back childhood memories. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing this delightful, beautiful outing.
Can you ask Haru-san whether there is anything that you should not eat with grated daikon?
🙏👍🙏👍
Soaking it in! ❤
Cool video! This was the first year I foraged for mushrooms too! We found oyster mush. There were lots of honey mushrooms too, and they look so similar to those japanese ones.
Foraging like that seems to be a wonderful way to really connect to the forest and notice everything around you. I will definitely recommend to anyone I know travelling to Japan that they check out the possibility of foraging with you and Haruo-san, and I hope that sometime in the future I'll be able to enjoy the experience too.
1:25 oooh no this looks so slippery I tensed half my body just seeing that! 😅
Such a beautiful trip! And the sense of accomplishment, and the tasty meals! 🔥
Never thought it would happen, but collecting my first ever mushrooms, Parasols, this month was overall such a great and fun experience! Finally get why people do it, and will totally be at it next fall.
What a great walk in the woods, Quinlan! Your mountain sensei is a real fount of foraging wisdom, and it was fun to see your friend again.
Tours sound great. Lovely autumn scenery. Mushrooms fried in a little butter are great. Not sure whether those varieties would hold up the same.
Lovely video. We have a lot of mushrooms in our forest here, but I'm too scared to eat them. I don't want to pick a poisonous one by mistake. Though I do love mushrooms a lot, so nice just sautéed in some olive oil.
This is exactly the type of experience I would be looking for, especially with the additional cooking and eating part. Good luck with your new venture and thanks for taking us along.
Mushroom hunting definitely looks magical . A must on the bucket list ❤
