Cycling Tour – The Verano Monumental Cemetery – Rome, Italy | 4K 50 fps | Slow TV

Time: ~ 10.30 am.
The tour begins at Piazzale del Verano, in front the main entrance of the cemetery. This entrance is characterized by two towers, three arches and four female statues (depicting the Silence, the Prayer, the Hope and the Meditation on Death).
Then, tour passes through the wide Quadriportico, a work of architect V. Vespignani, and proceeds toward the “Muro del Deportato” a monument in memory of Roman citizens deported and killed in Nazi concentration camps between 1943 and 1945.
The end of the visit is outside the Verano cemetery, among the multifunctional buildings of the “City of Sun” (Labics), an urban redevelopment project.
